Ruby Katheryne Parker's Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Katheryne Parker will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Newton County Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Ron Gilstrap officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Parker, 80, of Newton, died Monday, September 21, 2009. She was a retired employee of La-Z-Boy South and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters: Kathy Parker and Pat Martinez, both of Newton; her grandchildren: Liz McDaniel, Becky Strait, Luke Way, Steven Parker,and Greg Parker; eight great-grandchildren; her brothers; Raymond Dewease of Sand Hill; and Otis Dewease of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Otell Parker; and her son: Steve Parker; and her parents: Odell and Katie Lee Ingram Dewease.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home, 9998 Highway 15 North, Newton, Miss. 39345.
