William Albert "Bill" Lewis, 93 of Newton, MS passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at his home in Newton, MS. He was born Thursday, May 9, 1929 in Dowdville, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Masonic Cemetery in Newton, MS.  Bro. Justin Chaney will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.

He was preceded in death by parents, William Lester Lewis and Lula Lee Stribling Lewis; sisters, Bonnie Milling and Hazel Lewis; and brother, Cecil Lee Lewis.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Irene Barnett Lewis of Newton, MS; son, Bruce Lewis (Deborah) of Terry, MS; daughters, Linda Strebeck (Mike) of Newton, MS, Anna Hull (Charles) of Canton, MS and Camille Simmons (Troy) of Newton, MS; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters Margie Harrison and Mary Willis.
