William Elward Davis, 85, of Newton, Mississippi, died Wednesday at Rush Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. He was born Friday, July 21, 1933.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton, Mississippi. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel. Burial will be in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery. Dr. John Cash will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alberta Davis; his siblings, Ralph Davis, Albert Davis, Eria Mae Davis, Mary Helen Cleveland, Lena Belle Harris, and Rosa Chapman Fritch.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
