Welton Davis Britt

Newton, MS - Services for Welton Davis Britt will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home- South. Burial will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven, MS at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 with Newton County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Dr. Frank Harmon and Rev. Colby Cuevas will officiate.

Mr. Britt, 81, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS.
He was born Friday, May 25, 1934 in Brookhaven, MS.

Welton was a gentle, kind-hearted and generous man that never met a stranger. He loved his family very much and was deeply dedicated to his wife, Rose Marie Britt of 63 years. Welton was baptized in the Lord Jesus Christ and a longtime member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven, MS. Mr. Britt retired from Campbell "66" Express after 30 years of dedicated service along side of his brother, Howard Britt.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Fred and Edna Britt and Son Lindsey Britt.

Survived by: Wife, Rose Marie Britt; Daughter, Tina (Bob) Bridges; Grandchildren, Nicole (Micah) Harmon and Brittany (Colby) Cuevas; Great-grandchildren: Hallie Rose Harmon, and Jon Cole Harmon; and Brother Howard (Margaret Ann) Britt.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton.
