Lawrence, MS - Services for Mrs. Wardene Mason will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS . Burial will follow in Lawrence Cemetery in Lawrence, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - South in charge of arrangements. Bro. Leon Stuart and Bro. Victor Bugg will officiate.

Mrs. Mason, 85, died Sunday, October 4, 2015. She was born Sunday, November 24, 1929 in Newton, MS.

Mrs. Mason was a lifelong resident of Newton County. She was very active in her community. She was a member and the music director of Decedar Baptist Church and a member of the Lawrence Home Maker Club. Mrs. Mason was very active in her neighborhood and will truly be missed by her neighbors, friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her Husband - William Mason, Daughter, Linda Mason; Mother - Sallie May, Father - Harry Lee May, Sisters - Doris Peters, and Ruby Shepherd; and Brother - Carl Henry May.

She is survived by her Cousin - Ann Blackburn.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton.
