Tommy J. Sant
Services for Tommy J Sant will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Hickory, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Newton County Funeral Home - South in charge of arrangements. Bro. Thomas Laird and Bro. Roger Laird will officiate.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS. 601-635-3200.
Mr. Sant, 69, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at his residence . He was born Thursday, January 02, 1947 in the Antioch Community and was a life long resident of Newton County. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He will remembered for his love of the outdoors and for his unique ability to build custom knives.
He is preceded in death by his wife - Earnestine Sant, son - Tommy Sant, Jr., and sister - Hellen Moss.
He is survived by daughter - Cheryl Pugh (Steve) of Hickory, MS, sister - Stella Dorice McGuire of Florida, grandchildren - Hank Pugh, Kyle Pugh, and Caitlyn Sant and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lee Buckley, Bobby Kinard, Steve McGrew, Tim Moss, Bryant and Mike Williams. Honorary Pallbearers- Jerry Laird and Larry Crader.
