Tommy G. Bounds, 86, of Hickory, MS died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Mississippi State Veteran's Home in Kosciusko, MS. He was born Tuesday, November 12, 1929 in Newton, MS.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Masonic Cemetery in Newton, MS. Dr. Randy Rich will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements. (601)635-3200
Mr. Bounds was an avid cattle farmer for over 50 years. He loved his farm work and being outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his Wife - Johnnie Bounds, and Parents Samuel and Ethel Bounds.
Survivors include his Sons - Paul Bounds (Hope), Hickory, MS, Steve Bounds (Molly), Hickory, MS, Grandchildren: Rita, Stephanie, Tommy Ray and Patrick, One Step-granchild Jonathan, Great-grandchildren: Colby, Jo Jo, Ashley, Allison, Stephen, and Kaden, and Sister - Doris Hollingsworth.
Pallbearers will be David Ferguson, Johnny Hillhouse, Jonathan Merritt, Jody Wagner, Charlie Shellenbach, Michael Sullivan, Colby Mullos, Tommy Ray Bounds
