Graveside services for Mr. Thomas Hardy Wilson, age 82 of Newton, MS, will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Masonic Cemetery in Newton. Visitation will be held from 5 PM til 8 PM Tuesday at Newton County Funeral Home South. Mr Wilson died Monday,January 23, 2012 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Newton, MS.


Mr. Wilson was an Elder and Deacon at Newton Presbyterian Church and a Veteran of the Korean War where he received 3 Bronze Stars and a Distinguished Unit Citation. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, & fishing.


He is survived by 1 Son: David A Wilson, Newton, MS, 3 Grandchildren: Allen Wilson & wife Amanda, of Meridian, MS, April Wilson of Forest, MS, Brett Wilson of Gulfport, MS, 1 Great Grandchild: Madelyn Grace Wilson of Meridian, MS, 1 Brother: Lewis Wilson of Garlandville, 2 Sisters: Vera Smith of Louin, MS, and Jo McCormick of Newton,MS


He was preceded in death by his wife: Kathryn Wilson, parents: Allison Y Wilson & Mabel Hardy Wilson,
1 brother: A Y Wilson, 2 Sisters: Lula Alice Holiday, and Elizabeth Boutwell.

Pallbearers: Ted Whittle, Joel Nelson, Andy Gardner, Clarence Allen, Warren Willis, and Stacey Sykes.
