Thomas Eugene Bounds, 86, of Lawrence, Mississippi, died Monday, July 15, 2019, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, February 1, 1933 in Lawrence, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home-North. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be in the Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro Victor Buggs will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

Tommy spent his career serving in the United States Military from 1957-1976, serving in both the US Army and US Air Force.

He was preceded in death by parents, T. J. and Oza Bounds; brother, T. J. Bounds, Jr.

Survivors include siblings, Bill Bounds (Mavis); Mavis Kerr (John A.), and Rudolph Bounds (Ruth).

Pallbearers will be Prentiss Bounds, Ricky Horton, Bill Seaton, Sydney Bounds, and David Bounds.
