Thelma Dean Floyd, age 87, passed away on December 15, 2018.

Thelma was born on February 2, 1931 in Decatur, MS to Mack Massey and Anna Belle Carey.  She was the youngest of 10 children; all of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by son Jack ( Wynette ) Dean;  daughter Gail Dean Parnell; son Thomas (Wanda) Dean;

She was preceded in death by parents, Mack Massey,  Anna Belle Carey; husbands Jack L. Dean, Sr. and Robert "Bob" S. Floyd'; daughter, Anna Jeanette Dean Stamper; and grandson, Bryne Dean.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South with Bro. Jim Follis officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton.  Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements (601) 635-3200.

Pallbearers will be Whitney Stamper, Timothy Stamper, Mark Massey, Tad Dean, Cain Cleveland, Bill Cleveland

Honorary pallbearers are Rayford Parnell, Matt Ferguson and Colt Cleveland.
