Terry Moore Evans, Sr., 68 of Hickory, MS, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at his residence in Hickory.

Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. , on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Liberty Cemetery in Newton with Bro. Gerald Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 16 at the funeral home.

Newton County Funeral Home North, Hwy 15 North, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.

He enjoyed traveling and visiting historical sites. He was an avid country music fan. He was a "people" person, never meeting a stranger.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years: Loretta "Rita" Evans of Hickory; three children: Terry Evans, Jr. of Hickory; Kristina Evans McMillan of Chunky; and Beth Evans Walters of Gulfport; two grandchildren: Ashtyn McMillan and Jamie McMillan; one sister: Glenda Davidson of Meridian

He was preceded in death by his parents: Matt and Ravenell Craven Evans

Pallbearers: James Rainer, Larry Rainer, Charles Rainer, Dan Daugherty, Peter Russell , and Joey Beckham.
