Sylvia  B. Feldman, 88 of Newton, MS, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:15 AM, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home North on Highway 15 in Newton, MS.  Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens, Newton, MS.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 28, from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the funeral home. Newton County Funeral Home, Hwy 15 North, Newton, MS is in charge of arrangements 601-635-3200.

Mrs. Feldman served on the hospitality committee at First Baptist Church of Newton and was a member of the Newton Arts Council. She was also a member of two local bridge clubs for years. She enjoyed visiting the local nursing facilities on a regular basis.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ira Bishop and Sadie Smith Bishop, and one sister,  Pauline Christian.

Survivors Include:  Her husband, Sam Feldman to whom she was married 66 years, two sons, David Feldman (Becky), Newton, MS and Lee Feldman (Janice), Brandon, MS, one daughter, Pamela Smith, Jackson, MS, and eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren

Pallbearers: Chad Feldman, Laurence Davis, Bob Smith, Ryan Weaver, Brett Feldman, and Blake Feldman.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
