Steven Keith Shepherd, 53, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at his home in Decatur, MS.  Keith was born April 8, 1970, in Newton, MS.

Keith was a kind hearted man with a contagious sense of humor.  He loved his family, and throughout life has gathered many friends.  He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and canoeing the Chunky and Ocoee Rivers.  Keith was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  He worked hard and played hard, and he will truly be missed.

Keith was proceeded in death by his grandparents: Ray and Bonnie Murphey, and Charles and Adell Shepherd; stepmother, Diane Shepherd; and stepbrother, Matt Liggett.

Keith is survived by his wife, Jennifer Shepherd, of Decatur; son, Steven Shepherd, of Niota, TN; parents, George Shepherd, of Rose Hill, and Glenda Shepherd, of Newton; sister, Angie Blount (Dean), of Murfreesboro, TN; nephew, Todd Blount, of Decatur; Niece, Rachel Blount, of Franklin, TN; as well as several aunts and cousins.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
