No services will be held for Steven Harold "Happy" Litchfield.

His cremains will be privately interred at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Litchfield, age 69, of Hickory, died Sunday, April 19, 2026 at his home. Known by his friends, as "Happy", he will be remembered for his love of baseball, dirt track racing, and painting.

He is survived by one son, Mitch Litchfield and one daughter, Amanda Lockhart and her husband, Ben; two granddaughters, June Lockhart and Lucy Lockhart; one brother, Don Litchfield and his wife Beverly; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Litchfield is preceded in death his wife, Cindy Embrey Litchfield; his parents, Joe  Turner and Leona Williamson Litchfield, and several siblings.
