Steve Clayton Wright, 71, of Bartahatchie, Mississippi, died Saturday, August 15, 2020, at Bedford Care Center in Newton, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, August 6, 1949, in Monroe County.

Steve, often called "Stevie", grew up in Bartahatchie and although life took him different places, his heart was always drawn back there and he always considered it home. Steve served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. "Bud" Wright and Martha L. Toupous, and a sister, Renee Daniel.

Survivors include his siblings, Deborah K. Lampkin (Eric) and Aaron L. Harcrow, Jr., three nieces, three great nieces, and two great nephews.
