Graveside services for Stanley Gaines McCraney will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Newton County Funeral Home.

He was born Saturday, June 20, 1953 in Newton. He was a graduate of Decatur High School and was retired as a Kansas City Southern Railroad conductor for 40 years. He passed away Friday, December 13, 2024 at his residence at the age of 71.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda V. Yarbrough McCraney and his parents, Stanley Neil and Mary Ruth Gaines McCraney.

Survivors include his son, Brock O. McCraney of Newton; two sisters, Donna Stamper of Conehatta and Judy Gibbon of Newton.
