Sonya Lynette Bounds, 49 of Newton, died Sunday, July 28, 2013.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Newton County Funeral Home - South.

Rev. Wayne Napier will officiate the services. The eulogy will be given by Bro. Randy Cuchens.


Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Leon Bounds & Artie Blackwell Bounds and is survived by her daughter: Christin Marie Stamper; Christin's father: Marty Stamper; two brothers: Kenneth Leon Bounds; and Amos Giles Bounds & wife Paula; one sister: Rhonda Bolton and a host of family members; her co-workers at Logan's Roadhouse in Pearl; neighbors, friends; and her four beloved dogs: Dixie, Gabbie, Gracie, Tink.

Pallbearers are her cousins: James Brand, Van Lucas, Jeff Bounds, Joe Bounds, Jon Bounds, Bo Bounds, Jack Thames, Kirk Thames, and Kevin Bounds.
