Shirley Ann Williamson Watkins, 78, of Newton, MS died Saturday, May 13, 2017. She was born Friday, July 29, 1938 in Hinds County, MS.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton with funeral services immediately following in the chapel. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, MS. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
Ms. Watkins was raised in central Mississippi. She was a loving mother to her family and at times a mother to all. She loved gardening, flowers and sewing. She was multi-talented, never met a stranger and will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her Husband - Hilton Watkins; Parents, William Douglas Williamson, Jr., and Hazel Williamson.
Survivors include her: Son - Joel Martin and Crystal Martin; Sister - Kay Davis, Brother - Matthew Williamson, Step-Sons - Mike Watkins and Richard Watkins.
