Scotty Cochran, age 57, passed away on October 18, 2020 at his home surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at New Fellowship Baptist Church in the Fellowship Community with funeral services immediately following.  Burial will take place in the church cemetery.  Bro. Phillip Gandy and Bro. Robert Rowzee will officiate.  Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. (601) 635-3200.

He is survived by mother Gail Chaney (Gerald); brother, Chris Cochran (Valerie Shortridge); step-brother Wayne Chaney (Robin); step-sisters: Valerie Clark (George) and Amy Ornstein (Steve); uncle, Phillip Gandy (Peggy); and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lavon Cochran.

Pallbearers are James Williams, Scott Mosley, Wayne Chaney, Don Lindley, Sam Burkes, and Lee Marlon Burkes.
