Ruth is preceded in death by her parents: Burie and Annie Merle Edwards Everett, her husbands: L.C. Chaney and Jack Hendrix, and her beloved little dog: Macho.

She is survived by her children: Gail (Greg) Waggaman, Rusty Hendrix, Tracy (Jim) Griffin, and Jeff Hendrix. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
