Ruby Jean Vallas, 91, of Decatur, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her residence. She was born Sunday, February 11, 1934 in Newton, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:15 am at Decatur Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at 11:30 am at Decatur Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Bruce Taylor will officiate. Survivors include her daughter, Sandy V. Comans (Wayne); grandchildren: Kristin Slay (Greg Centilli), Kasey Thoms (Josh), Kody Comans (Blair), Brittany Arnold; and great-grandchildren: Zach Slay (Olivia), Heather Arnold, Brennon Thoms Posey Thoms, Clark Comans, Roxie Kate Comans; and great-great grandchildren, Braiden Slay, Annie James Slay and Ridge Slay.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Billy Gus Vallas, son, Gus B. Vallas; her parents, Harold and Angie Leigh Baucum and all of her siblings. Her first husband, Gary Rice also preceded her in death.
