Ruby Jewel Lanthrip, 88, of Forest, MS passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born Sunday, December 8, 1935 in Scott County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at Faith Tabernacle in Pulaski. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Faith Tabernacle in Pulaski. Burial will follow in Ludlow Cemetery in Ludlow. Bro. Tal Vardaman will officiate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lanthrip; her parents, Gus and Emma Brown; her brothers, Robert Brown and Kavanaugh Brown; her sisters, Catherine Brown Bailey, Dorothy Sue Wadford, Betty Ann Austin, and Peggy Jo Lloyd; her grandson, Colby Derrick; and her great grandson, Jessie Ray Holmes.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda King and Ann Amos; her sons, Jerry Derrick, Sr. and Ricky Derrick (Juile); her sister, Margie Winters; ten Grandchildren; twenty Great-Grandchildren, seven great-great great grandchildren, and three great-great-great grandchildren on the way.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Adcox, Brayden Clark, Tyler Derrick, Junior Merritt, Jessie Lee Holmes, and Jerry Michael Holmes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Lee Derrick Jr., Heath Clark, Dakota Holmes, Wesley Watkins, and Jerry Merritt.
