Ronald Edward "Ronnie" Belvin, age 74, and a resident of Decatur, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at the St. Dominics Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newton County Funeral Home - South.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 10:30 am at Newton County Funeral Home - South Chapel. Burial will follow in Meridian Memorial Park under the direction of Newton County Funeral Home.

Ronnie was born in Meridian and was a graduate of Meridian High School. He spent a lifetime working in several manufacturing places, including Peavy's and Nissan. He was computer tech savvy and enjoyed picking and playing the guitar. He enjoyed being with family and friends, specifically gathering for fish cooking's. He will be missed by his family, but especially his wife, Mrs. Betty.

He was preceded in death by his son, Stevie Belvin; father, Edward Belvin; mother, Carlene Smith Belvin; grandchildren, Celeigh Pinson and Tyler Garrison and his only sister, Phyllis Belvin.

Survivors include his wife of almost 22 years, Mrs. Betty Swanner Belvin of Decatur; son, Jamie Garrison (Mandy) of Decatur; daughters, Theresa Belvin of Meridian and Becky Holmes (Ed) of Pass Christian and nine grandchildren.
