Ray Anthony Collins, 72, of Newton, MS died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home in Newton, MS. He was born Wednesday, November 22, 1944 in Neshoba County, MS.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Newton, MS. Bro. Ryan Cozart will officiate. Mr. Ray was a faithful and devoted engineer for KCS Railroad for over 40 years. Pop loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Annie Mary and William Edgar Collins.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Cooksey Collins, Newton, MS; daughter, Angela Craven (Chris), Newton, MS; son, Tony Collins (Lynn), Newton, MS; son, Terry Collins (Shannon), Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Amber Wall (Jake), Ryan Collins, Rayanne Spence (Tyler), Lee Catherine Collins , Niley Craven, Kaylee Jill Collins, Caleb Collins; great grandchildren, Rigdon Wall and Leighton Collins; brothers, Ronald Collins, Donald Collins and Johnny Collins.

Pallbearers will be Chris Craven, Butch Meaders, Kent Mayes, Doug Mayes, William Emmons and Henry Gruno.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Anderson Cancer Center in Meridian, MS.
