Ralph Owen James, 76, of Lawrence, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Anderson's Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. He was born Monday, December 25, 1944, in Mobile, Alabama.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South in Newton, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery. Bro. Ryan Cozart will officiate. Ralph was an avid bowler, fisherman, and hunter. He enjoyed time spent with his dogs and cutting grass. Ralph served in the US Navy. He was a Boilermaker over 40 years and was a member of Boilermaker Local 110. Ralph loved his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O. E. and Lillian James.

Survivors include his wife, Pat James; sons, Jerry James and Michael James (Cynthia); granddaughters, McKinzie James and Raigan Renfrow; sister, Shirley Jordan; nieces, Jessica Ouimette, Selena Fahringer, Jackie Grimes, and Donna Singleton; sister-in-law, Karah Blakeney.

Pallbearers will be the men of the Senior Sunday School Class of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
