Prentis Leroy White, 76 of Newton, MS, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Residence in Newton, MS.Memorial services will be held at 2 PM, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Memorial Gardens in Meridian, MS. Mr. White was an avid lover of country music. He was a professional steel guitar player for over 60 years. He has played with Loretta Lynn, O.B. McClinton, Webb Pierce, Chrystal Gayle, & Wynn Stewart. He recorded a record called "Heartaches & Teardrops". He played music 6 nights a week in local night spots such as Dixie Club, Confederate Inn, Sky View, Rock Hill, Eve Mar, LaCove, Cavalier Club, Dew Drop, Chandelier Club, & the V.F.W. & he made a name for himself while raising 3 children.
