Pete Boone, age 68, and a resident of Little Rock was born Tuesday, July 26, 1955 in Meridian. He was a lifelong resident of this area and was a current employee of La-Z-Boy South where he had been employed over the last twenty years. Pete served his country in the United States Army with the local army national guard units and was a Baptist by faith. Favorite past times were hunting and fishing and he will be remembered for the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy D. Boone and his parents, Mike and Pauline Downey Boone, and several siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sampson Boone; daughter, Sam Boone Kelly (Brian); grandson, Colten Kelly; granddaughters, Cheyenne Kelly and Chelsey Tucker; great grandchildren, Ellie Jane Black, Oaklyn Reece Black, Ember Rose Black, Macie Kate Tucker and Everlee Rae Black; a number of brothers and sisters as well as a number of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews, along with his good friend, Perry Knight, survive.
