Peggy Louise Chapman, 89, of Newton, MS died Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was born Monday, January 9, 1928 in Goree, Texas.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 17, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton. Graveside service will be at 1:30 PM at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Mark McDonald and Bro. Travis Watkins will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
Mrs. Chapman will be remembered for her love for her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, needlework and gardening. She and her laugh will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by Husband – Thomas C. Chapman; Parents – Walter Cooper and Ina McCassum; Brothers –Joe Cooper and Jerry Cooper; Sisters- Dorothy Drinkwine and Delores Milton
Survivors include her Daughters: Judy Turner and Linda Hamil; Sons Billy Mills and Walter Chapman; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Willie Bounds, Pete Pierman, Auston Rish, Rayphord Bounds, Wiley Walker and Jeff Cumberland.
