Norman "Bud" Williams, 92, of Louin, Mississippi, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021, at Laird Hospital in Union, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, June 13, 1928, in Montrose, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 29, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow in Randall Hill Cemetery. Bro. Ryan Cozart will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 683-2152
Bud was a hard-working man who was good to everyone. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and served in the United States Air Force, where he worked as an airplane mechanic. He was loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Williams; parents, John and Mary Williams; daughter, Janet Williams Roberts; grandsons, Travis Williams and Sean Popp; sister, Gaye Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Jenell Williams; children, Norman (Connie) Williams, Jr., David Williams, Sue (Steve) Popp, and John Williams; step-children, Rhonda (Barry) Pace and Anita Bucklew McBride; eleven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Williams, David Williams, Marty Whittet, Warren Shepherd, and Tony Yelverton.
