Norma Gay Heard, 83 of Newton County, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian, MS. She was born Saturday, July 29, 1939 in Enterprise, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-North (9998 Hwy 15 N Newton, MS). Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Newton County Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Newton County Memorial Gardens in Newton, Mississippi. Bro. Mike McKee will officiate. Mrs. Norma loved spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed cooking and working in her flower garden.  She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Heard, Sr.; granddaughter, Tosha Little; grandson Hunter William Allen, and Jewel Hardin.

Survivors include her sons, William R. Heard, Jr. (Lynn) and Steven Matthew Heard; daughters, Cindy Diane Davidson (Scott) of Cuba, AL and Catherine E. Spence of Newton, MS; grandsons, Chad Allen, Mitchell Heard, James Heard and Luke Little; granddaughters, Angela Gilland, Jessica Campbell, Samantha Heard and Nikki Irby; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
