Milton Alexander Lewis, Jr., 91, of Chunky, Mississippi, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at his home in Chunky, Mississippi. He was born Friday, December 2, 1927 in Kemper County.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home-South. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow in the Chunky Cemetery. Bro. Mike Bird will officiate. Milton Jr. served in the US Army 82 ^nd Airborne Division. He served in WWII and the Korean War. Milton Jr. loved life, his family, farming, and going places.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeborg Lewis; his parents, Milton and Mona Grace Lewis; his brother, James Edward Lewis.

Survivors include his children, Milton A. Lewis, III (Nelda), Susan Hurst (Bear), Jim Lewis (Beth), and Rick Lewis (Jacqui); his sisters, Minnie Ruth McCraw, Elizabeth Bratu, Dorothy Blalock (Tom), and Betty Jo Harrelson; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 expected great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be the U.S. Military Honor Guard.
