Mavis Irene Williamson Stewart, 79, of Decatur, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Bedford Care Center of Newton in Newton, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, February 2, 1939 in Philadelphia, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Newton County Funeral Home-North. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Conehatta Community Cemetery. Rev. Allen Gibson will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Samantha Williamson; her brothers, Clyde Williamson, Curtis Williamson, and Floyd Williamson; her sisters, Willie Mae Alexander, Lavada Harrell, and Loretta Williamson.

Survivors include her children, Greg Fain (Denice), Terrie Bryant (Frank), Teresa Addy, Tena Brown (Andy), Tammie Ferguson (Jack), and Sharon Irene Addy (Walt); her siblings, David Williamson (Geneva), Katie Mae Stewart, Audrey Stewart (Earl), Mary Ann Hardy (Billy), and Paul Williamson (Joyce); 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Watkins, Derick Havard, Chad Havard, Randal Williamson, Shuan Addy, and Stephen Fain.
