Mattie B Spence, 74, of Newton, Mississippi, passed away, Thursday, August 16, 2018 at JG Alexander Nursing Home in Union, MS. She was born April 9, 1944.

Visitation will be held on, Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Newton, MS, with Funeral Services to follow. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Ryan Cozart and Bro. Chris Spence will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Spence; her daughter, Rita Federick; her parents, Willie and Eula Wilkerson.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Spence (Angela), Mark Spence (Trisha), Paul Spence (Kelly) and John Spence (Lindsey); her grandchildren, Tiffany Wright (Zach), Stephanie French (Hagan), Chris Spence (Paige), Tyler Spence (Rayanne), David Spence and Caden Spence; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Wright and Trent Wright.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Spence, David Spence, Caden Spence, Zach Wright, Hagan French and Kent Mayes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Craven, Butch Meaders, Doug Mayes, and Bro. Bill Eldridge.
