Mattie Claire McMillan, 87 of Newton, MS passed away Thursday, November 04, 2021, at her home in Newton, MS. She was born Wednesday, September 26, 1934, in Pachuta, MS.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, November 07, 2021, at 4:00 PM at Fellowship Cemetery, 4092 CR 24 Enterprise, MS. Dr. David Rives will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200
Mrs. McMillan served as an educator for 40 plus years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. McMillan was a member of First Baptist Church Newton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. McMillan; father, Peter Coleman Campbell; mother, Janie Bass Campbell; son-in-law, Ben Blasingame, and three sisters.

Survivors include her children, Will McMillan (Jan) of Newton, MS, Janie Blasingame of Thomson, GA, Arthur McMillan (Alisia) of Enterprise, MS, and Claire Curtis (Steve) of Bossier City, LA; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matt McGowin, Zach Thames, Steven Dennison, Clay Blasingame, Kyle Baker, Chance Morreale, Amis McMillan, and John Curtis.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Newton.
