Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Miletus Foreman Gibbon will be Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Newton County Funeral Home South Chapel with Dr. Randy Rich officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hickory Cemetery.

Mrs. Gibbon, 98, of Newton, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Bedford Care Center in Newton.

Mrs. Gibbon was the oldest member of Hickory Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gibbon is survived by one granddaughter: Kaycee Jacobson and her husband Tommy of Washington; one grandson: Cory Young, of Oregon; one great granddaughter: Madison Jacobson of Washington; one son-in-law: Jake Young, of Oregon, and a niece: Janice Munn and her husband Bobby of Hickory; and many more nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gibbon is preceded in death by her parents: H. D. Foreman and Tressie Harris; her husband: J.P. Gibbon; her daughter: Kay Hulene Young, and her five brothers: Hulon, J. S. (Pete), Cobert, Ed, & Little Sam Foreman.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Mary Gibbon include: John Foreman, Chip Foreman, Cory Foreman, Donald Foreman, and Herbert Lee Harris.

Visitiation will be Friday, December 6, 2013 from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
