Mary Moore Bounds, 98 of Newton, MS, died Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Newton, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M, on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS with Dr. Brian Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Bounds loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She was a past member of the Newton Bridge Club. Mrs. Bounds and her husband were founders of the Ellisville State School Parents Association.

Mrs. Bounds was a homemaker. She was known by her family as Mucca. She loved serving her family in traditional southern ways.

Preceded in death by: Father-William Preston Moore; Mother-Geraldine Stuckey Moore; Husband-R.W Bounds, Sr.; Twin Brother-Marion Moore; Brother-John Moore and Son-Billy Bounds

Survivors Include: Son-Sam Bounds (Patricia)-Decatur, MS; Son-R.W "Bob" Bounds, Jr.-Brunswick, GA; Daughter-Dale Segar (Ned) Barton, MS; Brother-Herbert Preston "Bert" Moore-Columbia, SC; Grand Children-5; Great Grand Children-11; Great Great Grand Children-3
