Martha Faye Swearingen, 73, of Newton, MS died Monday, June 19, 2017 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Friday, March 24, 1944 in Meridian, MS.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory, MS. Bro. Ben Laird will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
She is preceded in death by: Father - Rev. O.V. Swearingen, Mother - Noda Swearingen, Step-Mother - Evva Caldwell Swearingen, Brother - David Swearingen, Sisters - Zelma Lee Craig, Miriam Taylor, and Mary Harris.
Survivors include: Daughter - Misti (Steven) Evans, Bossier City, LA, Daughter - Suzanne (John) Finnegan, Hattiesburg, MS, Grandson - Daniel Morgan Evans, Brothers - James Otis Swearingen, Paul Swearingen, Sisters - Sarah Sellers and Ruth Gressett, and Step-Brother - Bobby Caldwell.
