Marie Dennis Eason

Marie Dennis Eason, 86 of Newton, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at her home.  She was born on Thursday, January 21, 1937 in Lake, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Newton County Funeral Home – North, 9998 Hwy. 15 North, Newton, Mississippi, and on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Baptist Church, 2087 Lebanon Church Road, Decatur, Mississippi, 39327.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi. Bro. Jamie Leach and Bro. Mark McDonald will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200

Ms. Marie was a member of Grace United Baptist Church in Decatur, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  She enjoyed spending time working in her yard, keeping her flowers beautiful, camping with her camping group, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Eason; son, Gary Eason; father, Richard Harvey Dennis; mother, Roxie Nina Gould Pryor; son-in-law, Dannie Walker; brother, Harvey Edward Dennis; and sisters, Kathleen Dennis Gordy, Virginia Corrine "Jenny` Dennis Peavy and Evelyn Dennis Abel.

Survivors include her one daughter, Tammie Lott Walker of Hickory, MS; two sons, Kenneth Lott (Kathy) of Brandon, MS and Randy Eason (Beth) of Forest, MS; five grandchildren, Ben Walker (Kristen) of Lake, MS, Ginger Boyd (Brandon) of Hickory, MS, Ashley Segars (Tripp) of Madison, MS, Sarah Jane Wilbourne (Shane) of Forest, MS, and Jason Eason (Leslie) of Little Rock, AR; nine great-grandchildren, Braiden Walker of Lake, MS, Gianna Little of Hickory, MS, Blaine Walker of Lake, MS, Charlotte Segars of Madison, MS, Ali Beth Wilbourne of Forest, MS, Anna Claire Wilbourne of Forest, MS, Cole Eason of Little Rock, AR, Logan Eason of Little Rock, AR, and Gunner Eason of Little Rock, AR; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ben Walker, Brandon Boyd, Matt Addy, Joe Alexander, Mike Brackeen, and John Paul McKee.
