Lynda Jane Loper was born March 6, 1948, in the state of Arkansas, where a favorite childhood past time, was picking cotton on the Osment family homestead, with her dad and mother, and younger sister, Sue. She had a strong detest for formal education, often remembering the words of her Dad, "you can't learn anything out of a school book, but you can learn every song and dance." Echoed by the fact, that the Osments were the first ones in their community of Trumann, to have a television. These primary thoughts lead to a lifetime of love for Elvis Presley music and any style of dancing, "that had a beat." Lynda had a love for "people," and you were lucky if you were "lucky enough to be loved by Lynda." It was once stated that even after she relocated to Newton, "she could have run for Mayor and won the election" because everyone knew her. She was the life of the party and we celebrate she was the life of the party, and she now dances at the Greatest Party, on the street of gold and the gates of pearl, as she left this world on May 6, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maggie Bradford Osment.
Left behind to cherish her memory, are her daughter, Shannon Wyatt and her husband, Wade; her only grandson, Braxton Wyatt and her younger sister, Sue Rickman.
To remember Lynda Loper, she would suggest that you smoke a cigarette, play a "scratch off", drink a Diet Coke, or go put a quarter in the slot machine for her. She will be missed!
