Lawrence, MS - Services for Lynda Alison Jones will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM from Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church in Lawrence, MS with Newton County Funeral Home - South in charge of arrangements. Bro. Daniel Richardson and Bro. Tommy Tanner will officiate.

Mrs. Jones, 44, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her home. She was born Tuesday, October 13, 1970 in Anchorage, AK.

Lynda was a lifelong resident of Newton County. She loved gatherings, music, dancing, caring for others and reading. She had a huge heart for others, she enjoyed spending time with Kayla Smith, autistic niece, and her mother. She loved listening to Dylan play and sing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her: Step-Father - Jimmy R. Thornsberry and Nephew - Brandon Johnson.

She is survived by her: Husband - David Jones, Son - Alan Jones, Daughter - Erica Jolly (DJ), Son - Joshua Evans, Grand Children - Bryce Jones, Olivia Jolly, Caden Jolly, Parents - James Edward Foote and Vera R. Thornsberry, Brothers - Shannon Doss and Wayne Doss, Sisters - Sharon Harris, Missy Crenshaw, Aunt - Earlene Richardson and Special Friend - Chris Sells with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Don Moss, Kerry Crenshaw, Jason Felton, Dylan McEllhenney, Matt McCann and Ronnie Richardson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton.
