Services for Luke Bartolo Castillo will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 12: 30 PM at Hickory Baptist Church in Hickory, MS. Burial will follow at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS with Newton County Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements, 601-635-3200. Bro Rodney Anderson and Bro Tommy Tanner will officiate.

Mr. Castillo 30, passed away June 11, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Castillo was a 2003 graduate of Newton County High School. Shortly after graduating high school, Luke enlisted in the United States Army. He began his military career with training in Ft. Benning, GA and then was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Ky. Luke was a member of the 3rd Platoon, Able Company, 1-506th Infantry Regiment, the "Band of Brothers" division. He fought in Ramadi, Iraq during the height of insurgency from November 2005 to November 2006. After his military career Luke entered into law enforcement by attending MLEOTA in Pearl, MS. He served as a MDOT officer and also in various local law enforcement agencies.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Vicki Castillo.
He is survived by: wife, Ashley Castillo, Hickory, MS; sons, Tyler Luke and Amos Maxwell Castillo; father, Bert V. Castillo, Jr., Chunky, MS; sister, Lauren Castillo, Chunky, MS; brother, William B. Castillo, Meridian, MS; grandmother, Sue McMillian of Tupelo, MS; grandfather, Donald Gressett, Chunky, MS.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Hickory Baptist Church in Hickory, MS.
