Lucille Gary Alford, 89, of Lawrenceville, GA died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at MeSun Health Services Inc. in Lawrenceville, GA. She was born Thursday, June 9, 1927 in Newton, MS.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Newton in Newton followed by Funeral services at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Newton in Newton, MS. Lucille was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She loved Newton, MS and her First Baptist Church. She served for years attending the babies in the church nursery and enjoyed the church music. No event went without one of her delicious casseroles or desserts.

She and James enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially the grands and great grands.

She is preceded in death by her husband James B. Alford, her parents; Frank and Nannie Hall Gary, and eight siblings.

Survivors include her two daughters; Debrah A. Johnson and husband Charles Watson, and Kathi Wirth and husband Jim, Lawrenceville, GA,

Pallbearers will be; Jim Wirth, Charles Watson, Michael Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Cole Nelson, and Jody Wagner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Newton.
