Lois Mae Palmer Forbes, 92, of Chunky, MS died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at home. She was born Sunday, February 3, 1924 in Kemper County, MS.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home - North in Newton. Funeral Services to follow in the chapel. Burial will follow in Chunky Cemetery in Chunky, MS. Bro. Joel Embrey will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601)635-3200
Mrs. Forbes will be remembered for her love for her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, needlework and gardening. She and her laugh will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by Husband - Theodore P. Forbes; Daughter - Nancy Kidd; Parents - Luther A. and Nannie H. Palmer.
Survivors include her Daughters: Nelda Lewis (Milton), Nita Chance (Paul); Son-in-law - Jimmie Kidd; 5 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ollie Little, Ethan Chance, Braydon Lewis, Larry Little, Cody Embrey, Jacen Little.
Honorary pallbearer will be Milton A. "Bo" Lewis, IV
