Private family services will be held at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 248 Honor Circle, Newton for Linda F. Pierce, age 72, who passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022  at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

Mrs. Pierce was a native of Newton County, graduate of Newton High School and a longtime employee at East Central Community College, where she served as an administrative assistant in the office of admissions. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She loved her family but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Graham; father, Quinn Greer; mother, Velma Ingram Greer; brothers, Charles Greer, Don Greer, Wiley Greer and Larry Greer and sister, Shirley Parkes.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James Robert Pierce of Newton; daughter, Kathy Mason (Jim) of Newton; son, Kevin Pierce (Lauren) of Decatur; sisters, Jean Staton of Brandon, and Mattie Denewith of Ft. Walton, FL;  grandsons, Jacob Mason, Hunter Graham and Quincy Cleveland;  granddaughters, Haleigh Loper, Katie Pierce and Kara Beth Pierce; four great-grandchildren: Marshall Loper, Heidi Loper, Beth Leigh Graham, and Aysleigh Graham; several nieces and nephews.
