Linda Phillis Harrison, 71 of Meridian, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at the The Specialty Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Union City Cemetery.

Linda was born November 25, 1950  in Bad Axe, Michigan. Early in her childhood, her family relocated to Newton, MS. She was a graduate of Newton High School, and longtime resident of Newton, and also Meridian. She was a Christian and as a young child, she joined the fellowship at Bethel Baptist Church at Newton. Favorite pastimes were watching movies, in particular Westerns, watching nature and feeding wildlife. She had a strong affection for her niece's pekingese, Luci Lui. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Mr. James Hamil; her father, Merle Dwain Mills; and uncle, Jerry Cooper.

Survivors include her sons, Jamie Hamil and Bryan Hamil;  grandchildren, Rylee, Brantley, and Laurel Hamil; two brothers and one sister; one special  niece, Pamela Louise Webb Tatum, and her husband, Roy,  of Union.
