Linda C. Craven, 74 of Hickory, MS passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022 at her residence in Mendenhall, MS.  She was born Wednesday, May 12, 1948 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South (100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, MS) with funeral services immediately following in the chapel.   Burial will follow in the Decatur City Cemetery in Decatur, Mississippi. Linda graduated from Hickory High School and East Central Community College.  Linda was best known for her piano playing in many churches throughout Newton County.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, riding her motorcycle, and most of all doing whatever Linda wanted to do.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles McMullan; and parents: Dick and Sudie Caldwell.

Survivors include her husband, David Craven; daughter, Melinda Hand (Paul); step-son, David Jason Craven; step-daughter, Kim Howell (Jared); grandchildren:  Baleigh Grete (Will), McKayla Carroll (Tyler), Garrison Lundy, Branson Howell, Collin Howell and Brooklyn Craven; great grandchildren: William Grete and Maggie Carroll; nephew, Jay Smith; and niece, Lana Kay Smith.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Nowell, Shelby Nowell, Mathew Nowell, Eddie Lowery, Kent Craven, E.J. Nowell, Tyler Carroll, and Will Grete.
