Lillie Ruth Lancaster, 83, of Newton, MS died Sunday, January 1, 2017. She was born Sunday, August 13, 1933 in Ringold, MS.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home-North in Newton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at Newton County Funeral Home-North in Newton, MS. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Newton, MS. Bro. Jerry Lewis will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - North is in charge of arrangements. (601) 635-3200
Mrs. Lancaster will be remembered for her great love toward her family, community and church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers and cooking.
She is preceded in death by her Husband - Albert F. Lancaster; Parents - Otho Summerlin and Pearl Summerlin.
Survivors include Daughter - Paula Brashier (David), Sons - Jesse Lancaster (Sharon) and Albert Douglas Lancaster; Grandchildren: Julie Meeks, Jesse Lancaster, Jr., Jonathan Lancaster, Krista Warren, Matthew Lancaster, Luke Lancaster, Katrina Lancaster and Kaylee Lancaster.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Lancaster, Jr., Jonathan Lancaster, Troy Meeks, Zachary Meeks, Zandar Meeks and Chris Lancaster.
