Lilliam Grantham Boutwell

November 9, 1930 – July 4, 2019

Lillian Grantham Boutwell left her earthly home on Highway 504 to enter her Heavenly Home at the age of 88.

The celebration of her life will begin with visitation on Sunday, July 7, 2019, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, at Newton County Funeral Home-North. It will continue at 3:00 PM with funeral services led by Bro. Joe Garvin. Burial will follow in Newton County Memorial Gardens. Newton County Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements, 601-635-3200.

She was born November 9, 1930 to Velma and John Grantham. She loved Garlandville United Methodist Church, where she was a member. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The highlight of her life these last few years was the visits from her great-grandchildren. She loved throwing the basketball with them. She was a star basketball player at Enterprise High School in Enterprise, MS, and they believed it! She never missed a shot!

Survivors include her sons, Raymond Osborn Boutwell, Jr. (Sheila) and Wendell Ray Boutwell (Pam); sister, Marie Hollingsworth Keas (Pug); grandsons, Johnathan Boutwell (Andrea) and Ethan Boutwell (Madyson Carter); granddaughters, Lori Ann Case (Nathan) and Samantha Rushing (Adam); great-grandsons, John Tate Case and Hayden Rushing; great-granddaughters, Baleigh Boutwell, Raylen Boutwell, Madison Boutwell, Ella Rose Case, Emmy Rae Rushing, and Ava Grace Case.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Osborn (Sam) Boutwell, Sr.; her parents, Velma and John Grantham; her brothers, Jerome Grantham, James Grantham, and Calvin Grantham; her sisters, Sara Strange and Bertha Mae Robinson.

Pallbearers will be Johnathan Boutwell, Ethan Boutwell, Nathan Case, Adam Rushing, David Hollingsworth, and Brian Chaney.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Boutwell, Ray Boutwell, and Daryl Weir.
