Funeral services for Lillian Howard Booth Horn, will be held at 2:00 P.M. , on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Newton County Funeral Home North with Bro. Gary Howse officiating. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1 P.M. - 1:45 P.M. at Newton County Funeral Home North on Saturday, July 19, 2014.
Mrs. Horn, 91 of Brandon, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Bedford Care Center in Petal.
She was born in Durant and graduated Tchula High School at Tchula and Draughn Business School in Jackson. She worked for Evans Lumber Company as a secretary and was a volunteer at River Oaks Hospital in Jackson for over 10 years.
Survivors include four children: Bonnie Crosby of Petal; Melanie Langford and husband Randy of Petal; Carl Clifton Booth, III of Lexington and John Craig Booth of Brandon; one step daughter: Mary Cille Gibbs and husband Doyle of Newton; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands: Carl C. Booth, II and LTC Neil L. Horn; her parents: Wade Hampton Howard and Sarah Lillian Herbert Howard; four sisters and one brother.
