Larry Eugene Rush, 75 of Lawrence, MS passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home in Lawrence.   He was born Thursday, February 7, 1946 in Newton, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Newton County Funeral Home - South at 100 Old Highway 15 Loop, Newton, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Newton County Funeral Home - South in Newton, MS. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrence, MS. Bro. Bobby Everett and Bro. Victor Bugg will officiate. Newton County Funeral Home - South is in charge of arrangements. 601-635-3200

Mr. Larry worked at La-Z-Boy for 35 years.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved going to the mountains.  He will certainly be missed by all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Frankie Rush; parents, Sim and Wydell Bugg Rush; and son-in-law, Jeffrey Weeks.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jill Rush;  daughter, Delannia Weeks;  grandson, Dustin Weeks (Amber);  and granddaughter, Jessica Weeks; great-grandchildren:  Hayden Weeks, Holden Weeks, Stormy Weeks, David Weeks, and Kemper Weeks.

Pallbearers will be Dale Clark, Dan Gay, Dustin Weeks, Victor Bugg, Scott Foley, and Charles Thompson.
